Enjoy school holidays fullest at Lake Macquarie

Children are very happy when the holidays start. I am going to tell you about a lake where both children and their parents enjoy a lot during holidays in Australia. There is a lake which is situated in South Wales in Australia. 

The lake is situated 96 km far from Sydney city. The name of the lake is Lake Macquarie. Children find it very exciting to enjoy and explore this lake during the school holidays.

The various activities of interest are as follows:

There are various activities families do at this lake, right from a family walking trails to organized day trips. You can explore a lot in this beautiful place. There are many Lake Macquarie school holiday activities.

1. Playing in the park and picnic for families:

 The various activities of interest like families can go for picnics and lunch, kids can play at the park and playgrounds. Children can do several activities such as painting and coloring, families and friends can go for a picnic. People can do activities such as water play and cool down, families can go for a walk. Friends can also go for lunch and do fun activities at the lake.

2. Dog exercise area, cinema hall:

 Not only humans but for pets also have space to enjoy in Lake Macquarie. There are places where dogs can do exercises and play. There are clubs where families and friends can have fun.  3. Sculpture park:

There is a sculpture park. A very wonderful feature about the park is that it is home to 16 contemporary sculptures which have a very beautiful look and appearance in the lakes MAC is situated next to Lake Macquarie at Booragul, which is in 5 hectares of parkland. 

a). You can bring a picnic rug and enjoy it by settling down on the grass. You can watch the beautiful sculptures while you eat your lunch. There is a famous exhibition known as the Yang Aboriginal exhibition. 

b). This art museum has a very beautiful and dedicated Aboriginal program. This program is known as yipping. In Awabakal, the word yapang means a journey or pathway. In this program, people have the opportunity to see contemporary Aboriginal art?

c). There are two other focus areas in the sculptures and yapang. They are called the 21 Century and 20 Century. The collection at MAC started in the 1970s.

d). These sculptures are built up through donations, acquisitions, commissions, and prizes since the 1970s. The Australian artists and the owner of Lake Macquarie, Sir William Dobell have created different works in many two dimensional pieces. There are also many indigenous works on paper. 

e). The MAC operates various classes for adults and kids. There is a car park right on the doorstep and Cafe Mac, which offers you a variety of refreshments and light lunches. There are lots of reasons to head over to the MAC for a visit today.

4. Fishing and recreation:

The beautiful Lake Macquarie is a key spot for fishing and recreation. People cannot think of a better place to bring their children for enjoying their school holidays. If you are out on a boat, you can enjoy the moment. If you are standing on a jetty along the shoreline, you can enjoy it a lot.  If you prefer ocean fishing there are plenty of great choices here too.
